Packaging Material Development Engineer

You will join a product development environment focused on packaging material development, where technical requirements need to be turned into robust material designs, test strategies, and reliable performance. In this role, you will work close to specialists, laboratories, suppliers, and production-related stakeholders to improve functionality, investigate issues, and support development projects from a material perspective.

• You will work as part of a Scrum team and help translate requirements into sub-system requirements and technical specifications within your area.
• You will support the conversion of requirements into packaging material design.
• You will define verification and validation strategies related to packaging material in technology and product development projects.
• You will write test specifications, analyze outcomes, and document results in development reports.
• You will coordinate and execute packaging material activities in line with established procedures, standards, and methods.
• You will collaborate with suppliers, specialists, laboratories, and converting factories.
• You will drive root cause investigations related to packaging material performance and functionality.
• You will lead risk assessments within the packaging material area.

• You have an academic degree, preferably a Master of Science in Materials or a similar field.
• You are fluent in English.
• You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity.
• You have a natural drive for problem solving and can coordinate work to achieve strong results.
• You communicate clearly and present technical information effectively.
• You collaborate well with different stakeholders.
• You are able to complete a pre-assignment drug test.

• Experience from the product development process within packaging.
• Experience with technical test methodologies in packaging.
• Knowledge of packaging material, food package interaction, and statistics.
• You are well acquainted with physical testing and can work independently in that area.
• Knowledge of requirement management procedures.
• Experience working in a Scrum team.
