Hovmästare / Restaurant Floor Supervisor Full Time

The Grand Indian Restaurant in Lund, operated by Kadai AB, is looking for a service-oriented and responsible Hovmästare / Restaurant Floor Supervisor to join our team.

This is a hands-on role combining excellent guest service with responsibility for coordinating the restaurant floor and supporting the service team during daily operations.

Your responsibilities

As Restaurant Floor Supervisor, you will work actively together with the service team while helping ensure smooth and professional restaurant operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests and providing friendly and professional service
• Taking orders and serving food and beverages
• Coordinating the restaurant floor during service
• Supporting and guiding service staff during shifts
• Organizing table allocation and guest seating
• Handling reservations and guest enquiries
• Coordinating communication between the kitchen and service team
• Ensuring efficient service during busy periods
• Handling guest requests and resolving service-related issues
• Supporting the training and introduction of new service staff
• Ensuring that service standards and restaurant routines are followed
• Handling POS systems and customer payments
• Assisting with opening and closing procedures
• Maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming dining environment

The position requires you to participate actively in normal restaurant service while also taking responsibility for coordinating the floor when required.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality
• Has good customer-service and communication skills
• Is comfortable taking responsibility during restaurant service
• Can coordinate and support colleagues in a positive and professional manner
• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently
• Can work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment
• Can communicate effectively in English
• Is available to work evenings and weekends according to the restaurant schedule

Previous experience as a Hovmästare, Restaurant Supervisor, Shift Leader or similar position is an advantage.
