We are now looking for a Customer Technical Support Manager to our Technical Customer Support team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled and customer-focused professional who enjoys working at the interface between customers, sales, production, quality, and R&D.

About the role

As Customer Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers within the cold work and specialties segment. You will play a key role in developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving technical development initiatives together with internal stakeholders.

You will work closely with Sales, Production, Quality, and R&D teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support the continued growth of Erasteel's product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical support activities for customers in the specialties market segment.
• Provide technical support for loose powder applications.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers and support the sales team with technical expertise.
• Serve as the link between customers and internal functions, including Production and Quality.
• Drive development of new products, applications, and technical solutions based on customer needs.
• Follow customer trials and support successful implementation and commercialization.
• Analyze market trends within the PM industry and propose new development opportunities.
• Participate in benchmarking activities and competitor analysis to support innovation.
• Contribute to product promotion by developing and reviewing technical documentation, including datasheets, brochures, presentations, and user guides.
• Organize and deliver customer training sessions on PM materials, heat treatment, material properties, and related technical topics.
• Review, implement, and communicate customer specifications across the organization.

About You

We are looking for a technically driven professional who combines strong engineering knowledge with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience within manufacturing, tooling, machining, process engineering, applications engineering, or related industrial environments.
• Solid understanding of:
• Stamping and punching processes
• Plastic injection molding parameters
• Tool wear and tool life optimization
• Powder Metallurgy High Speed Steels (PM-HSS)
• Mechanical and corrosion resistance properties
• Fatigue resistance and material performance
